Actually there are 3 different variations of the code. You would choose whichever one you want to use. If you do not care about rewriting www to non-www or vice versa then use the first block of code. If you want to rewrite www to non-www or vice versa then use whichever block of code is relevant. The note below means that you would modify the RewriteBase line of htaccess code depending on your particular website installation. If you are not sure what your RewriteBase code is then look at your existing BPS Root htaccess file code on the htaccess File Editor page > Your Current Root htaccess File tab. Additional help information has been added to the HTTPS/SSL forum topic to make the instructions clearer.
Note: If your WordPress installation is in a subfolder then add the correct RewriteBase for your particular website/WordPress installation folder name.
If your WordPress installation is in a folder named “my-site”: example.com/my-site/
Your RewriteBase would be: RewriteBase /my-site/
